Larry Dooley has over fifteen years of business experience, the majority of which time has been spent in the financial and investment management profession. Larry takes pride in his attention to detail and understands the importance of putting clients first as both a fiduciary and business manager.
While Larry’s role as an analyst and portfolio manager is his formal full-time job, he has passions outside of work. One of those passions is his voice acting experience. Larry is interested in using his creative talents to help serve the varied needs of educational institutions, local and national commercial businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies through his voice. Ways in which these entities may use Larry’s services include professional narration, television, radio or online advertising, fundraising campaigns, or public service announcements. Let Larry’s voice convincingly and successively convey your company’s message.
Although many people equate voice acting or voice over work with the resounding and powerful voices we find compelling on television and radio, the voice acting profession extends well beyond these highly memorable spots. Just a fraction of the voice over industry involves commercial work. Most of the industry’s activity involves what is referred to as narrative work. Some of the industry’s better known examples of narrative work includes training and educational materials, travel and tourism material, audio books, documentaries, and biographies on television, film, radio, and increasingly, over the internet. On-hold messaging is another example, albeit one that is fraught with frustration for many, especially when your only wish is to bypass the message to speak directly to a human (representative).
The voice work on navigation systems is another great use of voice talent. Many people are familiar with Allstate’s GPS Mayhem campaign where actor Dean Winters does a lousy job as the driver’s auto navigator. If you were lost, which voice would you turn to?
